Study on Technological Alternatives for the Automation of Testing in Web/front-end Ecosystems.
Abstract
During latest years, front-end development and the process of automated testing is gaining
more attention. According to previous experience there is still a gap in this field, that
comes as a result of lack of practice. So, this thesis conducts a further study on different
technologies used in this topic, by performing some practice experiments on front-end testing
alternatives. Its main objective is the evaluation of them, in order to take better decisions
when choosing between these technologies. The assessment proposed in this paper is based
in a qualitative and quantitative research involving different metrics. The first and foremost
goal of the study is finding out the most efficient tool. Its results may serve like a guideline
for future practices regarding the topic.
